How to choose and compare

Choose a percentage operation

Percentage of returns an amount; Find percentage returns a ratio expressed out of 100. Percentage change needs an original value. A move from 20% to 25% is five percentage points and a 25% relative increase.

Summarize or compare numbers

Average provides several summary measures: a mean can move sharply with an outlier even if the median barely changes. Ratio simplifies relationships, while Fraction keeps numerator and denominator operations explicit.

Check the result convention

Confirm angle mode in Scientific, the base in percentages, and the stated grading convention in Marks Percentage. CAGR summarizes growth between endpoints; it does not describe the intervening variation. Rounded output is not exact symbolic arithmetic.
