The Age calculator answers a calendar-date question: how much completed time lies between a birth date and a chosen comparison date? It also reports total days and the next birthday reference.
Use today for current age, or an application, school or event date for a dated comparison. For repeatable results, record both dates. A date of birth alone will produce a different result as the comparison date advances.
The calculator first advances completed years, then months and remaining days. February 29 clamps to February 28 in a non-leap year. Each month step clamps to the last valid day and continues from there; other tools may follow a different convention.
Total hours is calendar days multiplied by 24, with no birth time or daylight-saving adjustment. Do not treat the result as an official eligibility decision: the organization applying an age limit may use a specific cutoff or leap-day rule.
