How CalcMate prepares calculator results
Our calculators are designed for transparent, repeatable estimates. This page explains the standards shared across the catalogue.
Formulas and inputs
Each result is calculated from the values entered using the formula explained on the relevant calculator page. We validate required values and reject inputs that would make the selected calculation undefined or misleading.
Rounding and display
Calculations use JavaScript numeric precision and are rounded only for display. A lender, bank, payroll system, tax portal, or accounting package may use different day-count, instalment, or rounding conventions.
Rates and assumptions
Forecast calculators assume that entered rates, contributions, inflation, or growth remain constant unless the tool explicitly models a change. Forecasts illustrate a scenario and do not promise a future result.
Regulated calculations
Tax, pension, provident fund, HRA, gratuity, and similar tools state their scope and exclusions. Rules and eligibility can change, so users should confirm current figures with the relevant authority or a qualified professional.
Testing and corrections
We test common cases, zero-rate cases, invalid values, and calculation boundaries. If you find a discrepancy, send the calculator name, inputs, expected result, and source through our contact page so we can investigate it.
