About this tool
When to use it
Translate Celsius, Fahrenheit, and Kelvin readings while rejecting values below absolute zero.
How to use it
Enter a temperature, choose From and To scales, and select Convert temperature. Check the unit symbol before copying the result. For a temperature difference, use the scale factor alone rather than converting it as an absolute reading.

Input
0 Celsius to FahrenheitExpected output
32 °FAbsolute temperature conversion includes an offset. A change of 1 °C instead corresponds to a change of 1.8 °F, not 33.8 °F.
Errors and unsupported input
-1 KelvinKelvin cannot be negative in this converter. Check the entered scale and whether the value describes a difference rather than an absolute temperature.

- Math Evaluator: Calculate a temperature difference explicitly when offsets do not apply.
Questions
Frequently asked questions
Why can a negative Celsius input be valid?
Zero Celsius is not absolute zero. A temperature can be below 0 °C while still above 0 K.
